Shaping the future: Our strategy for research and innovation in humanitarian response.
Through our Research for Health in Humanitarian Crises (R2HC) programme, we want to improve health outcomes for people affected by humanitarian crises by boosting the quality and breadth of humanitarian health research.
This is why we worked with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) to deliver a webinar on health economics for humanitarian research.
The webinar aims to help researchers broaden the scope of their thinking. Expert health economists from LSHTM will explore how health economic methods and evaluations can improve our understanding of the economic dimensions of interventions delivered in humanitarian settings.
The costly nature of health responses to humanitarian crises and other resource constraints has led to a greater demand for research that applies a health economics component.
