This policy brief outlines the results of a study led by a research team from the University of Sciences Techniques and Technologies of Bamako's Faculty of Medicine (FMOS Bamako) to understand the implementation of health measures in response to COVID-19 among internally displaced people (IDPs) in Mali.

Considering the challenges for humanitarian practitioners implementing COVID-19 health measures, and IDPs in adapting to them, this policy brief provides the following recommendations:

  • Ensure the availability and accessibility of isolation and quarantine centers in
    IDP sites
  • Guarantee awareness in the languages spoken by IDPs
  • Guarantee financial, food and logistical support (transfer and evacuation of cases) is available for
IDPs in order to support them in adopting isolation and quarantine measures

Please note that the policy brief is only available in French.
