Case studies: HIF-funded innovations

As part of Elrha’s commitment to tracking and reporting on our impact, we regularly carry out case studies on our funded projects across Elrha.

In 2022, we have developed case studies on four HIF-funded projects:

• Pesitho’s ECOCA cookstove
• Dalberg Design’s Hotline in a Box Toolkit
• Oxfam GB’s Oxfam Handwashing Station
• Save the Children’s Surprise Soap

The projects were selected to showcase a diverse array of innovations who have reached a certain scale that offer meaningful data on outcomes.

Collectively, these four innovations have benefitted more than 450,000 people affected by crises.

The case studies explore the impact of these innovations on humanitarian outcomes and their influence on policy and practice. They also include some reflections on the value for money offered by the innovations.
