This longitudinal observational study had two objectives:
- Describe functioning of patients up to six months after injury
- Identify factors associated with their independence in daily life activities, including physical and functional rehabilitation.
This policy brief summarises the findings and recommendations for health decision makers and service providers from the study. It underscores the need for investment and strengthening of early rehabilitation, as well as the need to account for diverse recovery trajectories after injury.
