This research paper aims to promote inclusive research involving women, people with disabilities and older people through the use of Views from the Frontline (VFL) guidelines and Feminist Participatory Action Research (FPAR) in disaster risk reduction.

This research was developed between May and December 2023 in Kemalang and Manisrenggo Districts which are areas of disaster risk area three and disaster-prone area two. Consultations were carried with relevant stakeholders including people with disabilities, older people and community members.

The results of the paper emphasise the importance of community inclusion, ensuring that data is accessible and that those who are at risk are involved in planning in disaster risk areas whilst also acknowledging the importance of advocating for national-level participation.
