Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is the most common cause of maternal morbidity and mortality in developing countries. This project involved the first systematic implementation and evaluation of a low-cost treatment package in Sierra Leone – the Every Second Matters for Mothers and Babies – Uterine Balloon Tamponade (ESM-UBT). The final project report provides information on the methodology, activities, outputs, impact and dissemination of learning.
