Describes a randomised control trial to assess the effectiveness of the problem management plus (PM+) treatment for adults impaired by psychological distress. After 3 months of treatment, the intervention group had significantly lower anxiety and depression scores and lower rates of depressive disorder compared with those in the enhanced usual care group.
