The demand for disaster microinsurance: designing demand survey for urban informal small businesses

This short article reveals the results of a demand survey for developing a suitable microinsurance product, initiated in the Puri district of Odisha state of India in February 2015. The survey targeted around 1,500 small businesses in order to help define the insurance requirements related to the protection of small businesses from hazards.
