Dr Rola Hallam: Accountability to people affected by humanitarian crises

In her Keynote Speech for our 2019 R2HC Research Forum, Dr Rola Hallam talks about localised aid and how research has a role to play in empowering, facilitating, and pushing for the humanitarian system to accelerate progress.
Rola is a British-Syrian award-winning consultant anaesthetist, humanitarian, human rights advocate and social entrepreneur. She is also the founder and CEO of CanDo, a not-for-profit social enterprise pioneering a locally-led approach to humanitarian action that enables local medics and aid workers to provide life-saving health services to their communities.
