Ruth Salmon

Ruth leads on Elrha’s Readiness to Scale pipeline, which focuses on strengthening the practice of scaling in humanitarian innovation. The pipeline will build a problem-led and responsive scaling infrastructure, enabling promising innovations to achieve sustainable impact at scale.

For over 10 years, Ruth has worked in both humanitarian and development contexts using research and development to maximise programme outcomes. Her experience includes the design and scaling of innovative financing programmes in WASH, health and education; monitoring, evaluation and research roles for non-profit, public and private sector actors; and providing technical assistance to the government of Sierra Leone for two years.

Ruth is interested in how bringing together actors from different disciplines and perspectives can enable solutions to complex problems in the humanitarian sector to be taken to scale, and equipped to achieve sustainable impact.
