We’re looking for two brand new members to sit on the Funding Committee for our Humanitarian Innovation Fund (HIF) programme. Comprised of ten members (including a chair), the Funding Committee is a vital part of our governance structure, offering independent assessment and guidance for funding decisions.

About the Role

The committee plays a key role in shaping our innovation portfolio. New members will have the opportunity to bring their expertise and experience to important discussions about the future of humanitarian innovation, and proposed solutions to humanitarian problems, across our diverse range of focus areas: scaling; gender-based violence; water, sanitation and hygiene; disability and older-age inclusion; and locally-led innovation.

The committee is fully supported by the HIF team to make the most well-informed decisions through regular briefings, guidance and supporting documents.

About You

We’re on the lookout for individuals with an extensive background in humanitarian innovation, who have experience leading innovation projects or start-ups in countries, regions or communities affected by crisis. On top of that, candidates should have a strong grasp of the challenges and gaps currently faced by the sector.

We particularly encourage applications from those with lived experience of being part of a community affected by crisis, and those who can demonstrate a core focus on equality and diversity in all aspects of their work.

You can read full details of the role and submit your application here. The closing date for applications is Monday 12 June 2023.
