Mary Scheree Lynn V. Herrera works in the Phillippines as a Senior Consultant for Humanity Research Consultancy, focused on modern slavery. She is also a gender and GBV Technical Specialist with Voluntary Service Overseas International.
Scheree has more than six years of work experience in the field of legislative and policy advocacy focused on gender equality, women’s rights and gender based violence; eight years in development and humanitarian programming on GBV and youth protection in emergencies; and four years innovating within the disaster risk reduction space. She currently mentors trained young volunteers for humanitarian work, raising funds to conduct humanitarian missions led by them for displaced and young people affected by crisis.
She is also a former HIF grantee, having worked on a project focused on capturing the impact of GBViE interventions in the Philippines from 2011 to 2019.
