We are Elrha, a force for change in the humanitarian community. The research and innovation we support equips the humanitarian community with the knowledge of what works, so people affected by crises get the right help when they need it most.
Our purpose is clear: to empower the humanitarian community to improve humanitarian response. We make this happen by supporting and championing the outcomes of robust research and proven innovations.

Postponed until further notice.

We have postponed our HIF Innovation Challenges on the inclusion of people with disabilities and older people, which were due to launch in February 2021, in light of the continued uncertainty around UK Aid funding, due in part to the planned reduction in spend from 0.7 to 0.5% of GNI.

We take this decision with an abundance of caution – we know how much time and energy goes into applying for funding, and the impact this can have on your planning and your ability to protect precious resource, especially at a time when so much is changing.

We’re uniquely placed to support the humanitarian community to improve outcomes and drive change through innovation and research, so we hope to be able to launch these Innovation Challenges later in 2021. For now we thank you for your support and understanding. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch again if you have further questions.

Original webinar information

Are you interested to learn about our upcoming funding opportunities that focus on the inclusion of people with disabilities and older people in humanitarian action?

In our Humanitarian Innovation Fund (HIF) programme will launch two new funding opportunities, which we call Innovation Challenges.

The two Innovation Challenges will focus on different themes. The first will look to support innovative approaches to collecting data to drive inclusive humanitarian action. The second will support the transfer and adaptation of inclusive practices that are led by organisations for persons with disabilities (OPDs) or older person’s associations (OPAs).

We will be sharing more information in two informational. In these sessions you will be able to find out more about the HIF, the upcoming Innovation Challenges and next steps on applying.

If you can’t make it, don’t worry! A recording of the webinar will be shared online.
