Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs), such as blockchain, have attracted considerable interest and investment from all sectors in recent years across, including for humanitarian aid.
The Global Alliance for Humanitarian Innovation (GAHI) published this first policy brief in 2019, which contains recommendations on how to drive practical action that uses DLTs effectively. It also includes information on how to ensure organisations and the people they aim to help are protected and receive the right form of aid.
