WaterScope sought to develop a rapid, handheld water testing device, allowing low-income communities to test for bacterial contamination. The project was broken up into two parts; first, refining their system, making it simple and portable, ensuring tests can be done in low-resource settings, without significant training. Second, they trialled their prototype in Tanzania to pave the way for further iteration, scale-up and greater impact.

The final project report provides information on the methodology, activities, outputs, impact and dissemination of learning.
