Shaping the future: Our strategy for research and innovation in humanitarian response.
James joined Elrha in 2021 as the Humanitarian Health Research Advisor for the Research for Health in Humanitarian Crises (R2HC) programme. James trained and practises as an emergency physician in the NHS, and prior to joining us worked in a variety of academic and programmatic humanitarian health roles, most notably with Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF).
James has a broad interest in critical global health and humanitarian studies, and is passionate about anti-colonial action across both sectors, and the pursuit of genuine community participation in, and ownership of, humanitarian programmes.
