Based on reflections from their experience of reviewing at both the Expression of Interest and Full Proposal stage of the R2HC First Call, the R2HC funding committee produced an article entitled “Strengthening the evidence base for health programming in humanitarian crises.”
The Committee identify five key themes as critical to scientific progress in the field of health in humanitarian crises. They identify that the circumstances found in humanitarian crises additionally present barriers to scientifically rigorous research, yet they also present such health risks that the need for evidence-based responses is crucial.
