Duration: One Year Fixed-Term 

Location: London or Cardiff (although all our staff are currently working at home. This situation is likely to continue until at least June 2021)

Are you a research professional with a deep understanding of the humanitarian sector? Are you committed to improving humanitarian outcomes and do you believe that research and innovation should be at the centre of efforts to improve humanitarian effectiveness? Could you manage a number of research projects to support the global humanitarian community to identify priorities for research and innovation funding?

We are looking to recruit a highly effective Research Manager to join our dynamic policy and communications team. You will project manage our ambitious programme to map the global funders and actors working on humanitarian research and innovation and seek to quantify the overall annual value of resources invested in humanitarian research and innovation, as well as a consultation to identify the most pressing needs and support greater coordination.

To be successful, you will need to strong research skills and a real commitment to achieving effective outcomes for people affected by crises. You will have excellent research, project management and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of the humanitarian sector. You will also have a flexible approach, with the ability to work well in a busy and constantly changing environment.

We are based in London and Cardiff, but our roles have a global reach. As an established and respected part of the humanitarian community, we work closely and meaningfully with our fellow networks and actors to make change happen.
