Project Governance

Independence

ELRHA is a completely independent project that has been set up to serve the needs of the humanitarian and the higher education communities. The project is directed by and managed through the project stakeholder's network with oversight being provided by our independent project steering committee, which consists of highly regarded individuals from both communities.

Governance structure

ELRHA is governed through the following mechanisms:

Quarterly Steering Group meetings:
The ELRHA steering group meets at least once a quarter to review the work of the project, agree core priorities and activities for the project and to consider any issues raised by the stakeholders. Meeting Records can be downloaded here.

Quarterly Stakeholders meetings:
ELRHA hosts quarterly stakeholders meetings at locations around the UK. These events are open to any interested individual or organisation to attend. Meetings are a combination of reporting on progress from the project manager and discussion and debate on future activities, priorities and decision making. Meeting Records can be downloaded here.

Project Hosts:
ELRHA is hosted by Save the Children on behalf of the wider stakeholder community. Save the Children provides a physical base for ELRHA's staff and ensures that the project is effectively linked into key initiatives and developments in the humanitarian field. There is also an academic host provided by University College London (UCL). UCL ensures that the project is effectively linked in to development and knowledge within the HE sector.

Reporting:
Stakeholders will receive quarterly reports on the progress of the project and key activities and events for the next quarter. These are provided via email, and will be posted here in due course.
