Training

This course is vital for everyone considering working in the humanitarian sector, with the overall aim of helping you to decide whether this is a career you want to pursue. You will hear first hand experiences from relief workers, learn about the nature of humanitarian relief, and look at the skills you have to bring to the sector.

Professionals in Humanitarian Assistance and Protection (PHAP)

Spaces are still available for the 2010 fall series of Advanced Professional Trainings on Humanitarian Law and Policy in Brussels, Nairobi and Cebu. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply soon, as seats are being filled on a rolling basis.

The first international short course in Nutrition in Emergencies will be run in Thailand in October 2010 and Uganda in January 2011. Courses are designed to strengthen the capacity of a wide-range of actors to support and lead responses to protect the nutrition of populations affected by humanitarian disasters.
