Collaborative Working
![]()
The principle objective of the ELRHA project is to encourage meaningful, lasting and effective partnerships between the Higher Education and the Humanitarian Sectors for the benefit of disaster affected/at risk populations. While both sectors share many of the the same motivations and ethical principles, there remain some fundamental barriers that make working together rather challenging. ELRHA is committed to helping understand and break down these barriers in order to improve understanding between the sectors and support the development of a vibrant collaborating community.
We are encouraging collaborative working through a range of projects and events:
- Funding collaborative projects
- Supporting partnership development through our research matching facility
- Mapping the available expertise in the higher education sector in the UK
- Hosting the ELRHA seminar series aiming to find solutions to specific barriers to collaboration between the sectors
- Profiling good practice case studies
We are always interested in hearing about good case studies of collaboration between the Higher Education and humanitarian sectors, so please let us know if you have an example you would like to share with us.
