The IRC – International Relief and Development Organisation – offers two different kinds of internships; part-time and full-time.

  • Part-time internships usually last for 10 months and interns are expected to be in the office for one or two days a week. These posts pay expenses only, and are usually given to those still studying.
  • Full-time internships at IRC last for 11 months and pay minimum wage. Competition can be very tough: IRC receive anywhere between 50 and 100 applicants for each full-time internship. Applicants for this internship should be recently graduated students (undergraduate or postgraduate) who want to gain experience in the sector.
