Donor Representative: Beth Steiner
Beth Steiner is Senior Higher Education Policy and International Adviser at the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), where she has worked since 1999. Her current role focuses on the policy function within HEFCE, and advising policy teams on international HE-related issues. She was International Manager from 1999 to 2006, managing international bi-lateral HE collaborative projects with Brazil, South Africa and India, which compared approaches to national-level issues relating to the HE system. In 2006 she was seconded to the University of Gloucestershire (working in partnership with Universities UK and GuildHE) as the Project Manager for the UK HE Disaster Relief Project, which provided the basis for ELRHA. Beth usually represents the UK HE funding councils on the Steering Group, although this seat is shared with funding council colleagues on request.
