Scotland-Malawi Higher Education Programme

Between 2006 and 2011 the Scotland Malawi Partnership worked with Chancellor College and Mzuzu University in Malawi, and various Universities around the Scotland, to run a project of higher education academic exchange between Scotland and Malawi. Through the course of this time-limited project, 12 Scottish academics undertook fellowships in Malawi, and 12 Malawian academics took part in fellowships in Scotland.

The Scotland Malawi Partnership has been delighted with the many positive outcomes which have come from this project, and has now published the programme’s final report, which details all the various successes, challenges and learning points from the programme.

The final report is available online at: www.tinyurl.com/SMPHE

The SMP will consolidate and build upon the many positive outcomes from this project by establishing a Further and Higher Education Forum in 2012, which will aim to bring together Scotland’s many tertiary education links with Malawi. The forum’s first meeting will take place at the Edinburgh City Chambers at 5.30pm on the 27th February. Please click here for the Terms of Reference for this forum.

All are welcome to attend this forum meeting, and can book places by emailing Charlie Ager at charlie@scotland-malawipartnership.org.
