Published on 20/07/2017

We say a fond farewell to outgoing Chair Ben Ramalingam and welcome Dan McClure who takes up the role.

With his extensive expertise and thought leadership in humanitarian innovation, Ben has played a vital role in the HIF’s evolution as Chair of the Board. We say a fond farewell to Ben as he steps down from the role, and would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his significant contribution and for expertly guiding the HIF’s growth and development since its early beginnings in 2011. Anna Skeels, HIF Programme Manager said:

“Ben has been an excellent and highly skilled Chair.  His huge commitment to the HIF Board and his motivation and support for the team has been invaluable. Ben’s skilful navigation of the challenges faced has been of incredible benefit for the HIF Programme and its evolution over the years.”

Taking over the role of Chair will be Dan McClure, a long-serving board member. Dan is Innovation Design Practice Lead at Thought Works and his expertise includes thought leadership on taking innovation to scale. We  warmly welcome Dan to his new role. Dan said:

“I’ve had the good fortune to collaborate with Ben as the HIF has taken on advanced innovation challenges like scaling and building sector based programs. This provides a great foundation that the HIF can use to explore the next generation high impact innovation practices.”
