Kube Energy is piloting an innovative solar service model for providing clean and affordable electricity to the Humanitarian Hub in Malakal to improve the humanitarian response.

WHAT IS THE HUMANITARIAN NEED?

This will improve the efficiency of the humanitarian operations, thus leaving more resources for the programmes.

WHAT IS THE INNOVATIVE SOLUTION?

The pilot will explore options for overcoming the technical and financial barriers for accessing sustainable energy solutions. The innovation is based on a leading model for solar, just tailored for humanitarian organisations that operate in the most difficult working environments.

WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED OUTCOMES?

A solar service model that will enable private investment in renewable energy infrastructure. This again will facilitate for the widespread transition from using diesel generators to renewable energy, reducing operational costs and emissions.
