What is User-centred Design?
Design approaches, such as User-centred Design (UCD), can help organisations explore and experiment with how to tailor a service or product to user needs and preferences.
The term ‘User-centred Design’ is not a new methodology – it was first coined by IDEO several decades ago and has since been embraced widely in both commercial, government and development sectors. User-centred design allows the designer – or the person planning the service – to understand user experiences while at the same time considering restraints such as budget, time frame and resources available.
