ELRHA Communications Officer: Emily Whitehead

Emily entered the humanitarian sector in April 2010 when she joined ELRHA. She has a MA in South Asian History from Cardiff University, and a BA in Philosophy from The University of Sheffield. In between her degrees Emily spent five months travelling South & South East Asia.

After taking part in Save the Children's Emergency Operations Programme in 2010, Emily has become a member of the UK Emergency Standby Team and undertook her first deployment to Ethiopia in 2011 to support Save the Children's drought response in the Horn of Africa.
