Manager of the Humanitarian Innovations Fund (HIF): Nicolas Kröger

Nicolas has an extremely strong background in the humanitarian field with more than 5 years experience in the coordination and supervision of large humanitarian and development programmes in Zimbabwe, Tajikistan, Sudan and Timor-Leste and over 3 years experience of team and office management.

Roles Nicolas has undertaken to date include: Emergency Response Officer with the IOM in Timor-Leste, in which he advised the government on a number of state led humanitarian programmes and provided training and mentoring to Government Staff; Country Director for ACTED in Sudan, in which he was responsible for the design and implementation of all of ACTED's programmes in the country; Base Manager for ACTED in Tajikistan and as Humanitarian Attaché for the French Embassy in Zimbabwe.

Nicolas holds a Masters Degree in International Affairs from the Faculté Jean Monnet, Université Paris XI and a BA in International Law from the Université Robert Schuman in Strasbourg. He is fluent in French, German, and English and has a working knowledge of Tetum as well as basic knowledge of Spanish and Arabic.
